Hi , This is Dewan Hafiz Nabil (often known as Dewan or Nabil).

Industrial Engineer| Researcher| UKRI (EPSRC) Funded PhD Student

“From ideas to impact, I explore solutions for a sustainable future”

Growing up in Shamshernagar, Bangladesh, a small town tucked among the tea gardens and known as the "sister of tea", I never imagined I'd one day be researching the future of clean energy on the other side of the world. But curiosity and a stubborn drive to make systems work better have a way of shaping a path.
I started in industrial engineering, where I learned early that even small improvements in how things are built, moved, and managed can ripple outward in meaningful ways. That foundation deepened during my time as a supply chain planner at Akij Group, one of Bangladesh's largest conglomerates, where I worked on real production and logistics challenges every day. Now, as a UKRI (EPSRC)-funded PhD researcher at the Warwick Manufacturing Group, University of Warwick, my focus is sharper: understanding how we can build and scale the clean energy supply chains the world actually need, particularly around hydrogen. That means identifying real barriers, developing frameworks that adapt to uncertainty, and helping translate net-zero targets into supply chains that can deliver on them.
Along the way, I have published research on supply chain resilience, sustainability, and Industry 4.0; built a hydrogen energy chatbot; regularly write blogs to make the hydrogen economy more accessible; and contributed to peer review for conferences and journals. My research aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), and I am genuinely invested in seeing this broader vision come together.
If you're working at the intersection of clean energy, supply chain strategy, or sustainable systems, or you just want to talk shop, I'd love to connect.
